Superhero Shows on Netflix Streaming April 2018

Fans of Superhero media have had quite the streak the last several years. Here at we like to think of Superheroes as a subgenre of Urban Fantasy. There are plenty of other great sites covering the news for them, so we won’t touch on them too much most of the time. But as I continue to compile lists to help you, dear reader, find streaming to satisfy your thirst for all things urban fantasy, I thought I would jot down a list of superhero shows on Netflix for you.

Of course, unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ve probably heard of the majority of these. But in case you want an overview, here are all the Superhero TV shows on Netflix in April 2018.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D

Fan favorite Phil Coulson is back from Tahiti in this Marvel TV series that follows the rank-and-file types at Shield around their daily business. They handle strange new cases, investigate Inhumans, and deal with superhero fallout. 4 Seasons, TV-14.

Wealthy playboy Oliver Queen shipwrecked onto a remote island and spent five years dealing with enemies there. Now he’s back home and hunting criminals listed in his father’s book. He becomes the Arrow, a vigilante trying to clean up the streets of Starling City. 5 Seasons, TV-14.

Blind Lawyer Matt Murdoch fights crime in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen at night as a mysterious masked vigilante called Daredevil.  The first season sees him unraveling a city-wide criminal conspiracy run by the violent and unhinged Kingpin. 2 Seasons, TV-MA.

The Defenders

In The Defenders, all the Marvel TV heroes – Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron First – team up to find the Hand in New York City.  1 Season, TV-MA.

Legends of Tomorrow

Legents of Tomorrow

On Legends of Tomorrow, characters from many of the other DC comics television shows join up with Rip Hunter, a mysterious time master. Heroes Hawkgirl, White Canary, Atom and Firestorm join with villains Heatwave and Captain Cold to defeat the immortal murderer Vandal Savage. 3 Seasons, TV-14.

Luke Cage

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir

Do you have budding urban fantasy fans in your house? Here is an animated, kids superhero show for them! Marinette and her schoolmate Adrian protect the city of Paris as Ladybug and Cat Noir. 2 Seasons, TV-Y7

The PJ Masks

This is definitely a show for little kids, but it is a cute one for preschoolers and early elementary schoolers. Friends Amara, Connor, and Greg spend their nights as Owlgirl, Catboy and Gecko. As the PJ Masks they fight pint sized villains like Lunagirl and Romeo. 1 Season, TV-Y

The Punisher

The Punisher

Frank Castle returns to Netflix for his own series in The Punisher after his appearance in Daredevil. The former marine continues his quest for revenge, seeking out the people responsible for the deaths of his family. 1 Season, TV-MA

Superman’s younger cousin heads up Supergirl, the DC comic series. Kara Danvers reveals herself as a superhero and takes her place as the defender of National City, and must balance her demanding job with her side gig of saving people. 2 Seasons, TV-14.
